Starting this week, California's allowing gay marriage.  Amen.  Shalom.  About time.  At HAWT action, we say thank goodness there are states out there willing to treat all of their residents as equals.  In fact, let's name the countries and states that have been enlightened and are applying basic rights to everyone equally: Massachusetts, Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and Spain.  (WAY too short a list for the year 2008. This might be a good list for the year 8, but not 2008.)  These are the locations where same sex marriage is legal; They aren't insulting their citizens with civil unions... it's like granting someone a 3/5 vote.  Anything less than equal rights is an insult.
