J.C.: Guantanimo Bay Must Not Close
So, this week that wrinkled guy started talking about Guanatimo Bay and how the Supreme Court... like... just said the terrorists there have the right to use U.S. courts to plead there cases. There's that woman (her name is Clift, I think?) on the show who's all liberal and she the decision was right because of habeas corpus or something. That Clift lady even said she thinks the next president will certainly close Guantanimo. :-0 Then Monica (so pretty!) got some screen time and she set it all straight.
It's totally amazing, but Monica, like Dr. Laura and Ann Coulter, just spells things out so clearly, it's shocking. :-O It's almost like I don't even know what I think until they tell me! Girl power! What did Monica (so pretty!) Crowley say about the Supreme Court thing?
MS. CROWLEY: Bad ruling. This is a totally irresponsible and dangerous decision to extend U.S. constitutional rights to foreign enemy combatants. I was at Guantanamo Bay in the fall of 2006. These are the world's most hardened jihadists who should not have the rights and privileges of American citizens.
Doesn't that say it all? I mean, these people are terrorists and this country wants to treat them like AMERICANS. I'm insulted just by that proposal! Boo! Why don't we just let them live here and be President, like B. HUSSEIN Obama (As Ann Coulter calls him).
I try not to get mad about politics because I don't really follow it much, but this is total insanity. Thank goodness for people like Monica Crowley, who's just so smart and pretty, who speak for America!
I loooooooove you, Monica! :-) Yay!

Jenn,
I'm amazed at this post. First off, it's GuanatnAmo Bay. You aren't even doing the smallest amount of research to spell things correctly, are you?
Second, habeas corpus is a key legal situation where a defendant has the right to see the proof of charges against him/her. The Bush administration has said that isn't necessary for suspected terrorists, and nothing could be further from the truth. Anyone brought up on charges has the right to know if there are sufficient, substantiating charges against him.
Third, you are calling these people terrorists, but they haven't been charged with any proof (back to that habeas corpus situation). It's cyclical: if there is no proof, they can't be called terrorists. If they are terrorists, the Bush administration says proof is not necessary. Either way, it's an insult to the humanity sitting behind bars in Cuba.
Fourth, this country (U.S.) was built that all citizens OF THE WORLD are created equal. So, yes, these men should be treated like Americans. All people should be. This administration hasn't wrapped their heads around it.
You really made a mess on this one, Jenn.
I'm the best blogger, ever.

Why are you talking about Cuba? I'm talking about GuanatanAmo Bay, not Cuba.
I have one question, then I'm leaving this post behind: If they aren't terrorists, why are they there?
Well, at least you weren't mean this time, JLF.
