"The home of Edith Macefield on NW 46th Street in Seattle, Wash. is surrounded by a commercial complex on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in Seattle. Macefield, who resisted developer's money to buy her long-time home, died on Sunday. She became a local hero and a Ballard neighborhood icon. She was beloved by the construction workers that surrounded her and she became a hero, even though she rarely came out of her small home. Her blue Chevrolet Cavalier is parked in front of her house."

I'm the best blogger, ever.
