First off, HAWTaction is 200 Posts Old!!  Thanks for reading, and don't be shy about commenting, even if it's just agreeing with our amazing insight.  That'd be smart.

SPECIAL SERIES
State of the Union
As a countdown to Bush leaving the office of the President of these United States, we at HAWT will look back at his addresses to the Union in an 8-part series, starting with his Inaugural Address in 2001 and ending with his State of the Union in 2008.

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Johnny Lead Foot Logo.jpgJohnny Lead Foot (the best blogger in the world, ever) has deep, researched posts.  He provides the Steve Kroft to my Jon Stewart.  His posts this month have been fantastic, and I encourage you to get a cup of tea and sit down for some great reads.

Jenn Cloutier.jpgJenn Cloutier (a different kind of blogger) has a unique voice on this site.  Her reports aren't as "researched" as JLF, but she represents a large part of the U.S.'s voice.

Disease

Humans will always battle diseases.  Whether the common cold or Ebola, diseases have caused everything from headaches to the decimation of a populations.  I will pay homage to their daily influence on our lives by exploring them in this series.  Check out how fascinating they are.

Tall Building
I'm way into big buildings.  They do a lot more for a city's character and future than most people recognize.  So, I think it's HAWTaction [hot ak-shuhn] to keep tabs on new projects.

cctv nightview_final_451x329x90.jpgORIGINS
Some things are essential to our everyday lives, yet their ORIGINS have escaped us.  The names of the days of the week?  The months?  Our "Arabic" numeral system?  Giving someone the bird?  60 seconds in a minute?  What defines the length of a second?  The game of chess?  It goes ON and ON...  HAWTaction [hot ak-shuhn] will bring you those histories in ORIGINS.

Breaking Knews
... From your news headquarters ... at HAWTaction ... we bring you ... Breaking Knews ...

Web_geM
Every once in a while, something pops up on the web that even
HAWT finds noteworthy.  This is the series called Web_geM,
and it's gonna snuggle you into clapping, hitting refresh
and forwarding it on to everyone you know...

Unknown Hero
There are people out there who change our world, and we have no idea who they are.  I intend on highlighting them with "Unknown Hero" postings.

TV RCMNDTN
Sometimes there are TV shows that are really, really good that few people watch, and I feel compelled to draw attention to them.  Now I have a blog to power that drawing.  I drew attention to Arrested Development sans-blog and it single-handedly pushed the show's canceling back by about 4 minutes, which is like a year in TV time

Playing God
When things go so advanced in the science of biology, like when we determine aspects of our babies or cause human ears to grow on mice, we are Playing God.  This is a series that explore those advances.

General Content
These posts run the gambit from environmental achievements to entertainment news.  Learn something!
