Web_geM: Sandstorm

Every once in a while, something pops up on the web that even
HAWT finds noteworthy.  This is the series called Web_geM,
and it's gonna snuggle you into clapping, hitting refresh
and forwarding it on to everyone you know...

Sand storms spark intense curiosity at HAWT headquarters.  There's a mystique about how they start, how they end, how they bring complete darkness and how they can change the landscape in a matter of minutes.  I guess it's like a hurricane, but replace water droplets with sand nuggets.

sandstorm2.jpgNow, you take a sandstorm like the one above, and you drive into it.  That's today's Web_geM.
From LiveLeak, what's proving to be YouTube's biggest competitor, this is a video of a bunch of insane maniacs who aren't happy studying the sandstorm from a distance.  They are curious.  Like kitty.

I certainly wish this video has more of the "in the storm" than "approaching the storm," but I think that just means I have to send JLF to Australia or Northern Africa with a moped and a video camera.  We'll get our own footage, eh?

Amazing video.

Forget the moped, I just need a skateboard.

I'm the best blogger, ever.

wait, what what what? why would you drive into a sandstorm? wouldn't all the sand in the air devastate the car?

I certainly wouldn't do it after the car's been detailed.
