Tall Building: Burj Dubai... in Dubai... in Pictures

I'm way into big buildings.  They do a lot more for a city's character and future than most people recognize.  So, I think it's HAWTaction [hot ak-shuhn] to keep tabs on new projects like the Nakheel Harbour and Tower, Bahrain WTC, Honeycomb SkyscraperBurj Dubai... in Dubai... in Pictures, CCTV and TVCC Towers, Tokyo Sky Tree, Burj Dubai (Revisited), Dancing Towers, Dynamic Tower, Dubai Towers, The Lighthouse (Paris), The Lighthouse (Dubai), Antilla, London's Super Tower, Eiffel Tower, Shuffle Tower, Full Moon, Caspian Bay, Chicago Spire, Chicago's Aqua Tower, Infinity Tower, Teardrop, Christmas Tree or the Burj Dubai.

We have visited the Burj Dubai as the first Tall Building post: Tall Building: Burj Dubai... in Dubai.  We have revisited progress on the building with Tall Building: Burj Dubai... in Dubai (Revisited).  Now, our little baby's grown up.  It's weeks away from reaching it's final peak, and there are a new crop of photos.  Read the links above, then zip through these amazing pics.

burj_dubai_07104.jpgThose buildings next to the Burj Dubai?  They are plenty tall in their own right, but they look like lego projects next to this true monster.

Oh, there's more.

It looks like a photo from satellite, and it just might be.

burj_dubai_1501.jpgElevator shaft?  (I just met her...)

Emirates-Towers-Elevators.jpgThe photos are big because the building's big.  It works that way.  When we cover the Smurf mushrooms, you're going to need a magnifying lens.  Click on any of these photos for a larger, pop-out.

This post is brought to you by a giant, phallic things.

The Burj Dubai remains HAWT action [hot ak-shuhn].  You know we'll revisit once it is complete with furniture, windows, working elevators and a suite with HAWTaction on the door.

Yeah - we need a Hawt Action readers' suite somewhere in the 120 floor mark.

John, could you have made this post any harder to read? I mean, the photos are so big I have to keep scrolling down like a hamster in a wheel. By the time I get to the bottom of the picture, I've forgotten what the top looked like.

I'm the best blogger, ever.

You know what this building reminds me of?

Me, first thing in the morning, lying on my back. Snoochie boochies.

Jason, what are all those smaller towers next to you in the bed?

This building is HUGE! The U.S. needs to catch up!

I'm obsessed from this building...wish I was there...this is our history, thanks for posting this pictures ;)

Thanks for stopping by, Boiko. We've got a couple more posts about the Burj Dubai on HAWTaction. But beyond the "Burj," I'm sure we have some more buildings you could become obsessed with. Just hit up the "Tall Building" series on the right, and get out some popcorn.

Hope to see you again soon!
