HAWTsHAWT: Manhattan from Rock

I take photos like a madman. I click gigabytes like they were... bytes.  In this massive collection, I've got some decent sHAWTs (statistics, really). I'm sharing them with you in this series: HAWTsHAWT [hot shot].

HAWTsHAWT.png4 hours at the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center), and I'm bound to get some great shots of the city.  This, my friends, is one.

That one might need to be clicked on for a larger version that makes sense.  As a NYC building afficionado/obsessivo, I'll list some of the buildings you can see here.  From left-ish to right-ish. all in front of the Empire in the middle there:

  • Bear Sterns Building
  • Chrysler
  • Met Life
  • Chanin
  • 125 Park
  • Lincoln
  • Heckscher
  • Fred F. French
  • Lefcourt National
  • Lefcourt Colonial
  • Mercantile
  • 501 5th Ave
  • 500 5th Ave
  • 461 5th Ave
  • New York Life
  • Metropolitan Tower
  • Empire State
  • Grace
  • The Epic
  • MetLife (another)
  • Bank of America
  • 1 Penn Plaza
  • Richmond
  • 1166 6th Ave.
  • 4 Times Square (Conde Nast)
  • Earnst & Young
  • New York Times...
At least that's what I see from a couple of passes.

I love this city.

Great Photo! Where's my old office at MSO?

Actually, you can see it! It's right between 500 5th Ave and the Grace building. In fact, it's just directly beneath the Empire State and just behind the red brick guy. Sweeeeeeet. (You might want to click on it for the larger version to see what's what.)
