Every season of the ever-popular TV series "24" starring Keifer Sutherland is getting a new DVD release that will be called, "24, The Director's Cut: 48." In an effort to expand the rich universe of 24, all 7 seasons will add 24 hours of footage to cover other action that happened in each fateful day.
"24 is a revolutionary show, where each second of the 24 hour day is accounted for," executive producer Brian Grazer told HAWT reporters. "Each season is 24 episodes long, starting and ending at the same time of day. We are careful to edit pieces so not a beat is missed. No action jumps forward. In fact, we are sure to include a lot of 3-minute car rides into the storyline so we can break for commercials." This reporter counted, and there are 145 such examples in the season's 168 episodes.

Bryan Tembrill, a 15-year computer programmer with masters and doctoral degrees from Rutgers, is claiming that he was hired by Fox, Freemantle Media and 19 Television to write programs to control the actions of the animatronic versions of the judges the production company started using in season 2. "From what I heard, no one could work with those bimbos, but the ratings were high. The producers called Mitshubishi to develop real-life animatronics and they called me in to do the programming."
"Some judges were easier than others to program," Tembrill told HAWTaction's Breaking Knews reporter. He claims Randy Jackson was the easiest. "The thing about Randy is he can be totally inconsistent. All I had to do was begin his comments with one of these phrases:
"Yo, dawg. Listen to me."
"Ok, ok, ok."
"Yo, man."
"You did your thing!"
"I don't know, dude."
"Dude!"

A fight broke out between Lush employees at their West Armitage, IL location last Thursday. The altercation escalated as the employees were offering holiday gift ideas to Rita Chester, a 50-year-old, first-time customer. "I had come in to ask for a simple face cleanser, and they, like couldn't stop recommending different products and things, getting in each others' faces."Lush has opened an investigation into the incident, having suspended Carlos Gomez and David Ball for two weeks. Gomez allegedly approached Chester first while she was scanning Buffy Body Butter (107.36 $/kg | $48.80 $/lb). "Oh, I love that," Gomez said. "I get it for my nieces all the time. It's handmade, as everything is here, and just fantastic. They say their skin is so smooth now, like, all the girls in school are jealous. And if you like that, can I recommend the Soft Touch Body Butter (152.00 $/kg | 69.09 $/lb). I get this for my mom and she says it turned her life around!"
Ball, a manager, overheard the recommendations and piped in, "The Body Butters are great, but if you really want to wow someone, why not look at the face masks? They are all handmade, as everything is here, and I do one every night. If not, I don't think I'd be able to sleep!"
"Then things went nuts," customer Rita Chester said. Store security cameras caught the action.

Inspired by Detroit's three begging for a chunk of the $700 billion (now $960 billion with $140 billion in pork and potentially $120 billion in bank write-offs), the year 1932 has hired lobbyists to get their own piece of the pie. Harrold Scrumfrey, a 100-year-old entrepreneur, spearheaded the effort. "We analyzed the pickle Detroit finds itself in now. This is an industry that has built itself fiscal problems through decisions of their own," Scrumfrey explained. "Even I predicted, a man who was raised before the age of autos, that efficient vehicles were the future and these chaps fought increased efficiency standards and kept forcing gas consuming SUV's on Americans. Alas, now they are begging for a handout but a few months after they were handed a $25 billion loan! I say! A slew of organizations were forced out of business when I was coming up, in 1932, and I thought it was time for their return."
Scrumfrey hired lobbyists to successfully pressure Paulson's team for $10 billion. The cash infusion is expected to bring back 42 companies and about 200 jobs.

Just a few hours ago, Barack Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, passed away from cancer in Hawai'i. McCain's campaign has already criticized the move as "the most strategic move of any election in U.S. history." HAWTaction spoke to a McCain campaign strategist under conditions of anonymity.
McCAIN STRATEGIST: We can't believe Obama has sunken this low. We always thought he might play the dead-grandmother card, but we didn't know it would be 24 hours before the election. We've have advertisements ready to go pointing out how Obama will do anything, including use the strategic death of his grandmother, to get votes. By them arranging the death the day before the election, it gives us almost no time to point out what a low, low campaign he is running.

President Bush has been unable to shake the economic monkey off his back. The problem has mutated and developed over time, from a collection of foreclosures to the collapse of the global economy. "This threat is constantly changing, like a foreign military made up of goat herders, and it's going to take hard work, but we have to act now," Bush explained last week from his Crawford Ranch. "It's a matter of life or death, and it's complicated, but that's my job. To work on complicated things."Bush's first attempt to correct a slipping economy was freezing interest rates for a select set of homeowners in December, 2007. The policy was so complicated, very little money has been requested. (Call 1-888-995-HOPE to see if you qualify.) That failed to solve the crisis. "I called that number 10 times, but got no money," Bush joked on January, 2008.
His second attempt was providing $300-1,200 in the form of a tax rebate in 2008, costing the government $168 billion. Bush assumed this money would be spent on things like iPods, furniture and clothes, not gasoline or food like they did. That failed to ignite the economy. "I was sure that was a bulls-eye," Bush lamented the week of his daughter's wedding. "Consider the economic goat herders the winners in that round."

Charlie Green, husband to Diane Green a father to Robert, Michelle and Lindsay, was inspired by John McCain's debate on Tuesday night and has decided to model his household after McCain's go-get-'em strategy.Green, 48 years old, said, "McCain showed me how industrious we can be, as Americans, and that--to be quite honest--we've been really lazy lately. I mean, he didn't say it in so many words, but when he started rattling off all the things Americans will do in his first term, I read between the lines."
"I'm changing how I'm running my life to model McCain's verve. I'm the CFO of a Fortune 500 company, and I'm planning on having all of our annual reports, through 2012, done by tomorrow morning. I've written annual reports before, I know annual reports, and I'll get them done, because I'm an American, and a Green. I'm leaving lazy behind and going to have profits and losses analyzed, through 2012, by tomorrow morning. We'll be experiencing 32% grown for the next 4 years while knocking our operating costs down 24% annually and increasing salaries 195% through 2012. That's exactly how it'll go, because this is America."

Gary Sinise, currently starring as Detective Mac Taylor in CSI: NY on CBS, is officially applying for Super-star status, according to his representation. "Gary has proven to be a star with long-standing presence in Hollywood," the statement said. "He currently stars in CSI: NY, a blockbuster spin off of the blockbuster show, CSI: Miami, which is a blockbuster spin off of the blockbuster show CSI."Sinise has been a working actor for 27 years, giving key support to movies like Forest Gump, Apollo 13, The Green Mile, Reindeer Games and The Forgotten. Sinise's representation believes he's due for an upgrade to lead roles and, at least, a skeletal paparazzi following.
When interviewed, Sinise's representative, Ian McHuff, said, "There is no public interest in how Gary's marriage to Moira Harris is going. There is no public interest in how his three children are being raised, and this is a disgrace. Gary's just as important in Hollywood as Robin Williams, who married his nanny, or Ben Affleck, who dated a Hispanic Mega-star. Sinise should be upgraded from Star status to Super-star status. Stat."

A couple of days after Star Wars: The Clone Wars successful $15 million opening weekend, George Lucas held a press conference at Skywalker Ranch to lay out plans for additional Star Wars projects. "We're very excited," Lucas said. "We think, like the Clone Wars, the original movies hinted at events in the Star Wars universe that fans are anxious to explore. Star Wars: the Clone Wars, an upcoming TV series on Spike, proves that Star Wars does not have to be limited to the film genre. We are excited about a plethora of media options, and we think fans will be too."
The first project Lucas presented was Star Wars: The Kessel Run. Mentioned in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope by Han Solo, Lucasfilms will explore the the famous spice run with a twenty-seven-part mini-series on ABC family. The story will focus on the Kessel Run and the traders that risk their lives for their trade. "Think Ice Road Truckers in space." The project will combine live actors with puppet shadows in front of green screens. The story will mainly focus on Greedo, but Han Solo is expected to make a cameo. There are rumors the original Greedo and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) will voice their puppet shadows.

On Sunday, President
Bush announced a federal plan to qualify gay marriages as 3/5 a marriage, urging Congress to push a bill through as quickly as possible. "I think that the sancti-... sanctities-... um... see, marriage is a sacred thing. Now I have been trying to rattifies... rattif... see, I tried to change the constitution to state marriage should be between a man and a woman." Bush stated that it takes a man and a woman to make a marriage under God.Bush, who was addressing an almost-empty White House press room on Sunday, said he was fine with gays complaining that they can't get married, "but California and Massachusetts are ruining the fabric of America with their pro-same-sex-marriage laws." Bush emphasized that Congress must act to set a precedent before the states create a "patchwork" of ruined communities "across this great land." Bush suggests to make each gay marriage count 3/5 of a "normal" marriage.
